Headlight Ground Point 5

Ok, I have a bad ground in my headlight system. In the haynes manual it points the ground I am looking for as "Ground 5" , Searched all through the service manual, couldnt find the same diagram or an outline of the ground points. The ground I am looking for is for the drivers side headlamp.

Problem is that my drivers side headlight is fairly dim on low beam, and when I hit the brights the same lamp gets even DIMMER than on low beam. I have tried 2 NEW replacements lenses so I know it is a ground or wiring at fault

Find out which wire on the plug is the ground then splice in a wire and run it to the chassis.

At the very back of the wiring diagrams chapter of the 88 FSM is the schematics for the entire ground system, including the position of all the actual grounding points. You could try to locating using that. Or do what Jimmy suggested and run an extra ground wire from each bulb. Probably easier.

I have a 91 N/A, didnt think about looking in the 88 FSM, but I already spliced in a wire to the ground from the headlamp right after posting, seems to be working 0-tay, I will have to see
