Headers?

So what is the general consensus, if their is one, on headers. Is there a prefered manufacturer? Does it make a difference? What companies actually make them? What is a good price to pay? Also will I, with a decent knowledge of how to turn a wrench be able to put it in. Also, since I now feel like a total idiot for having to ask this, but my car is a long ways away and I sprained my ankle yesterday, how many headers does one need? It seems like it should be two? Is that correct. Thanks for your patience.

Six reads and no responses?!?!?!
Also another question. I am seriously looking at the racing beat header, but the ad says that it does not work as well with F/I. Any comments on this as well as my questions in the original post would be appreciated!

There is no problem install it, i have Pacesetter (cheap, but works) most ppl will suggest you to get Racing Beat or Mindtrain (better material, will last longer, higher price)
I have the pacesetter ones. They were about $150. Works great, but sounds like a chainsaw.....
You will notice an increase in power though..
They fit straight off the engine to the main cat no problem. Appearantly the RB ones need there own presilencer and/or cat-back to fit...

That's cool.
I have a mid-pipe on the car already, so I am not worrying about it bolting onto the main car as I no longer have one. Loud as hell is a good thing. I do still have one cat and the stock mufflers, so that should help to deaden the sound some.
Also, the ignorant question I asked in the first post: How many headers do you need? I have a badky sprained ankle and cannot walk out to the car to look and cannot remember. Thanks a lot for everyone's input.

Do I only need one, or do I need two. Again, please excuse my ignorance. I feel like such an idiot, but really cannot get out to where my car is parked in less than half an hour, and I don't know off the top of my head.

Here's my setup:
Racing Beat Header
Racing Beat Presilencer
HKS Catback
This doesn't give the car a SUPER loud tone but it's loud enough imo. As for installing everything, the HKS and Presilence was easy as pie, but the header was pain because in order to access the nuts holding the original header on there, you have to move your *I believe* Air controller or something or other but in any case, it's nice to have a lift, but if you dont it's not impossible to install, just takes a while. Good luck!
Peace,
AJ ^_^

if you get the racing beat header but decided to pass on the presilencer you will probably need a shop to make and extension piece for you. the headers are approx. 6" shorter then the length of the manifold and the pre cats. so it probably won't bolt up to your mid pipe. i was seriously considering the racing beat headers a while back, but decided it just wasn't worth it. duty on the shipping, shitty exchange rate, etc... i decided to get a custom made 2.5" down pipe and high flow cat locally instead. (damn emmisions)
If I were you I would just get the Racing Beat Headers, they seem to be the choice for most people. I think they are only like $187 at racingbeat.com. You can prolly have a muffler shop make a pipe to fit from the headers to your cat for like $50 or so I imagine.
