Headers

I have the N1 duals on my 91 N/A Rx-7 and was wondering which one headers or a race pipe from Bonez would give me the most power increase and how much would it increase by.

A Header will give you more power and torque. A header is designed much better than the stock exhaust manifold, so it will give power throughout the entire powerband. Why not get a header and then a straight pipe to take out the cats?

As for power gains, someone dyno'd before and after with a header awhile ago, Ill see if I can find the thread.

To get the best power increase - RB Header into a cat or a presilencer - then into your catback.
I gained about 20HP with that setup (still using the stock intake).
I gave back maybe 5HP to gain some low & mid torque when I switched to full dual.
The pics & sound bite are linked in my sig below.

lol

True duals as far as I know and 99% of the people I talk to is an UNCOLECTED system like sureshots or mine

Reason being they are a real dual exaust that provides a separate pipe for each exhaust port.

Well its nothing really just that since I got here that is what I have know that term to mean. Oh well. Just expect people to think you are talking about what I said when you mention true duals.

Yes, true duals are two pipes from the header back, uncollected. There is no y-pipe in a true dual system.

True...the True Dual Exhaust system is uncollected in anyway (thus I sent you the PM...that's why I questioned what you have...the Dynomax).

Here is a cheap dual setup.
header kit $80
silencers 2 x $20
muffler shop cutting & welding $100
bomb muflers 2 x $20
total $260

The stereo sound of true duals - priceless

Click on the link in my sig below..
