header
my question follows:
Which header set up is better the racing beat or the corksport?
"During testing a 1990 Rx7 with no modifications and 114k showed gains of 14 wheel HP on the dyno." per the corksport web site. any clue on what the rb headers give in forms of hp gains?

I've been pondering a header myself and while both RB and Corksport look like quality parts, I'm partial to the Corksport (or the cheaper knockoff, OBX) because you can use the stock cat between it and the y-pipe.
The Racing Beat requires their special presilencer or a custom cat to complete the system.

I do.
Not only must I pass a biannual smog test till 2016 when my car turns 25 but we also have roadside sniffers that can fail you anytime...three bad readings from one of them and you get hauled in for a formal test.
I'm sure the RB header is very nice but the ability to run a cat is very important to some of us.

~25 wHP for a full exhaust minus 7-8 for the mufflers equals 16-18 wHP. But that may just be an error in rounding or estimation and the RB header could very well give the same as the Corksport. The power comes almost entirely from eliminating the cat. RB says their downpipe gives the same amount on fuel injected vehicles and recommends it as a cheaper option if you're not gonna go carbeurated.
