Which HAWK brake pads???
Looking at getting some Hawk Racing Pads for my 1990 GXL.
Now i know there are 3 different kinds and am a little confused on which ones to get.
Right now im either thinking the HPS or the HP+(plus) pads.
I think this is right...
HPS= Street
HP+= Street + some racing/autocross
Is that right??
All i do is normal everyday to day street driving. No track use.
I should just be looking into the HPS Pads right? I believe the HP+ pads wear your rotors and stuff more don't they??
Also when i phone to order do i just say "RX-7" or do i have to tell them its a GXL and that it's a 4 piston caliper upfront?
Thank you!!!

HPS is what you want. HP+ will dust and squeak like mad compared to the HPS pads.
edit: You will most likely be asked which car you have, if you are using your original calipers you will be fine. I switched 4 caliper fronts onto my car, so I had to order accordingly.
I have a friend who does some autocross and some road race as well. The HPS pads seem to be fine for him.

I used the HP+'s at the track and a little on the street, and they aren't good pads for the street, they're noisy, dusty and they'll eat your rotors up in no time. Go with the HPS's if you're going to use hawk pads.

I just put some HPS front pads on my car, with some rear pads on the way. I love them, they stop fast when you need them but don't grip so hard that you lock up the wheels accidentally.
And they are muuuch quieter than my old crappy pads. At least I think they are, my rear pads still squeal like a mother.

I'm a CF and poop smith
HP+ work very well from my experience but i have only used them on fd's
they might lock up your wheels faster but right now, with the stock pads i can easily lock my brakes up...
