Having radiator issues...needz help

So i bought a new radiator and found out its stock from a TII. Im having a couple problems with it. I have an s4 n/a amd didnt think there would be any issues but i was wrong. My old radiator was all metal with the rad cap in the middle sitting pretty flush an it had a temp sensor(im assuming) where the new one has plastic sides, a plastic filler neck on the right side that has a gasket and is attatched with three screws and its getting in the way of my intake coming off of the airbox. It also doesnt have a place for that temp sensor at the bottom... Has anyone else had this problem? Im not sure how much sense this will make to you guys either... Thanks for all the help in advance

firstly the FC radiators were all originally aluminum and plastic, so all metal means it was replaced already.

second, if the new radiator has a long fill neck with three bolts its an S5.

The first radiator was an aftermarket replacement. This i know. So the rad i have is from a tII s5, i wasnt sure if it was s4 or s5. The problem is idk if i need that bottom temp sensor(i assume). Did the s5 only have the top one or did it have a second one somewhere else? And is there a problem with only using the top one?

IIRC, you can run without that temp sensor... Hailers knows it best:

the top one isn't a temp sensor, it's a fluid level sensor.

S5s have the temp sensors on the back of the water pump housing.

I would just try to get a S4 radiator... get a refund on this one if possible.

I should have gotten an s4 rad but i thought this one was a stock replacement but found out later that it was for an s5 not s4. I bought privately so i cant return it. But i did find out that both plugs are only fluid level sensors but now i got the buzzing sound and the dummy light on. My temp sensor is still there and working. Thanks guys

No. You only have one fluid level sensor.

The sensor that attached to the bottom of the rad (s4) IS a temperature sensor. It was a big round one with two fat prongs coming off of it, right? You don't need it to run, you should be just fine as long as you've got a level sensor in the right place to get rid of the buzzing and light. The sensor in question will NOT give you buzzes or lights. Read the link I posted, its real short. In fact, the jist of it is: you can run without that sensor, just jumper the connector on the harness.

The plug giving me the buzzing noise is the top one which i will fix and the bottom plug cant screw into my rad cuz it has no threads in the rad. I will jumper the harness to get rid of the buzzing if i cant find the right plug in. I would rather know when i have low fluid but im pretty vigilant about it. I will update once i get the car running. Im having fuel issues that needs fixed right now

You need to know if you have a coolant leak going down the road. You do not want to find this out via the temperature gauge as it will be too late. Just to it to a welding shop and have no have it fabbed for both sensors.

I just put a new radiator in my RX7 that is all metal. So far it works great. Don't know about plastic ends.

I am wiring in the low coolant sensor, its just gonna take some extra wiring but this stock radiator is only a temp solution until i get a koyo. But its all sorted out now
