Exclamation haltech with 12a distributor

i have a s5 t2 with a haltech standalone. i have seen rx7s with standalones running 12a distributors with more accurate timing. i was wondering if anyone knew how to hook up a 12a distributor to a haltech. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx

Distributors are mechanical and do not use an engine management system (eg. Haltech) for timing. If you're running a distributor you would run a fuel only computer, like a Megasquirt or a Microtech LT4.

Assuming you have a fuel and spark ECU (ie. some ECUs are fuel only) then you should not even consider the distributer. The Haltech connects to the stock CAS and triggers the stock coils.

If you think a distributor will give you more accurate ignition timing than a standalone you've be terribly misinformed. It would be a big step backwards.

E6a,s,x will fire ignition as well as handle fuel (using the stock CAS, Coils or a dizzy). F8, 9, 10 are fuel only computers and you can use the stock dizzy.

I suggest using direct fire coils, ign-1a work awesome and they are plug and play to your haltech with adapter harness

Haltech cannot control stock coils. Trailing can't be run by haltech. Haltech tech support confirmed this. You have to run direct fire coils

Boost gauge

Amazon boost gauge, RE amemiya gauge was $460.00 dollars more expensive. So we went with Amazon. It does change colors.

Oil pressure sending unit was temporary removed due to leaking oil. Will have to replace. So I can read oil pressure on dash.
OEM Redline warning was able to work with the haltech ECU.
