i dont think its bs. most often we get 2nd hand cars and sometimes they will mixand and match parts if there is an accident. they might get a vert hood or something. its not intentional. thats how body shops work sometimes. or other rx enthisiest do hack jobs and sell that bastardized rx7 to someone who thinks nothing was done to it.

Thats not entirely correct. Mine is an 87 GXL and came from the factory without one. I have the AAS panel, and right under it is a cover where the security emblem should be.

Read further down. I forgot to edit that post, and accidentally created a new one. I was originally under the impression that all GXL's came with factory installed Alarms, but when I fact-checked that to hands-down correct someone else, I found that I was wrong. The Alarm on GXL's was indeed an option.

Apparently I cannot edit the original post, so here is the follow-up on that.

I think we should close this thread before Icemark has a stroke due to all the misinformation.

Well I think it is all BS like Icemark, don’t use your car as a control in the information people are looking for, unless you see it in print or in a original pamphlet don’t say what your car has and assume that all of the same model came with that equipment.
