Guys --Help--please with this issue

86 gxl---I had to put a new cat on the car for emmisions, well Im driving it aroung for about a week and the thing want get out of its own way. After 4000rpms it almost dies, feels like wrags in the tailpipes. After i took it to emmisions,i had the cat taken back off figuring thats waht is was---wrong.I can put it in nuetral and it will go up to about 6500 before any issues, but when your driving it,right at about 3800 she will barly move, full throttle forget it.I have to pamper it to get it to go above 4000.Any ideas.I have no cats on the car and the thing was running perfect up untill about a week ago.

At any rate, your right though. 3800 RPM hesitation.

Could it be that the 5th and 6th ports are not opening up due to not enough back pressure.

Its your secondaries...PERIOD> Check your secondary connectors.

The 5th and 6th ports will not cause this problem.

he is talking about the electrical connectors on your secondary fuel injectors. Your secondary injectors come on at about 3800 rpm, so if yours are not coming on, then the engine won't make the power above those revs. Check the connections first. make sure they are tight and not broken, bad wiring, etc.... search for 3800 hesitation, and you may also try one for Secondaries......

Also, getting a Hayes repair book might help you out some.

Help in finding this stuff.
