Who runs staggered tire sizes on thier FC?

Just wondering who of you do this and your thoughts.I ran 225/50/16's in back and205/55/16's in front for about 3 &1/2 years. When my rears wore out a few months ago I put the stock 205's all around.I think the car feels a little more balanced put the rear breaks loose sooner. With the 225's I think it had alittle more push going into the corners(though alittle more aggression in the corner balances it out). From the rear the 225's look better.I think I may go back to staggered.
Pros:
more rear grip
better looks
can be lazy and not rotate

Cons:
Can't rotate
Less balanced feel

P.S I'd like to run 225's all around but I'm convinced they'll rub on the stock rims in the front.

Some 225's will fit without any modification on the front, depending on the brand. If they hit just grind about 3/8" away.

205/55/15 front
205/60/15 rear

seems to understeer more, but it may just be the shitty tires int he back compared to the ones in the front...cause i am too poor to replace the back ones yet

i used to run 205/40/16 all around, than just very recently went to 225/50/16 in the rear. the 225's look way better, they fill the wheel wells much nicer. But i agree, it was alot easier to crack the 205's loose, but that just means it is a challenge.

225/50/R16 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's front and back. There's like NO room to even put my pinky between the front tires and the suspension.. and they hit the (bent) fender when I put it in reverse and crank the wheel to the right, but other than that they're fine. I think they only do it cause the fender is bent.

I run that setup on my FC. Haven't had the car to the track, but with the nice wide rims, it really lets the tire layout for a real good contact patch. I run 215's up front and 235's out back. Once the coilovers are on it's going to 235's up front and 255+ rear. The 235's on the 9" rim will not fit up front with the stock springs...but it's damn close.

Shouldnt you oversteer because of the crappy tires out back? Grippy tires in front + wack tires on the back = oversteer. Put the crappy tires up front and then I can see how you would be getting understeer.

I run 215/45/17 on 17x8 and 235/45/17 on 17x8.5 out back and love the way the car feels.

A bunch of us were talking about this last night, and they the FC feels with 225/50's on stock rims and 205's..
One guy thinks its the tires and the widths, I think the feeling of the car has alot more to with the rim centerline and offset, and the way it loads the suspension components, on my TII the 225/50's feel really decent on stock rims, while another guy feels the 205's were the best on that car, however my other FC runs 225's as well with aftermarket rims, while the offset is correct for the car, the car is rather wild on grooved or uneven surface with the aftermarket wheels and 225's but wasn't with it its stock wheels, while my TII feels fine on the same roads with the stock rims and 225's...I think a little change in rims offset and wheel centerline can really screw the feel and handling of a car..
I am moving to 17x9 and 17x8 on the TII next month, and I will report back on the handling change with 225/40/17 in front and 275/40/17 in the rear..Max
