OK, the point is that the weight of one seat is probably more than the weight of all the brackets he cut off.
There are lots of places to take out big chunks of weight. It just depends on how many sacrifices you want to make in conviences/looks. (heater, dash board, fuel tank, etc.)

They look great. They are a actual formed race seat just made of of CF. They are not the shells you are thinking of. With the top down and the back of the seat is exposed. I might change around the seat covers with some velcro padding from the street fighter seat from sparco. They sell those seperate.

Drifting is not a no-contact sport. Get a roll-bar.

Try drilling holes in stuff to lighten it - but never compromise stiffeness, as you'll need it.
