MA 1989 GTUs 68k miles

Purchased from original owner, 68k miles, almost 69k now.
Been friends with JunpoweR for many years now, and I finally found the right car.

Couple years now. Bought it from CA and had it shipped here. Went in another direction too, selling it. Might be the most interesting S5 ever. A real 1990 1 of 100 - non restamp AND the first RX-7 off the line in 1990.

I know John. Too many projects right now. It has the really race and new adjustable Koni's in it now too. It would make a great street car.

Sigh.

I have no idea what does 88v stand for, maybe for the year of the car??
v means speed rating of 149mph.

Going to look at an '89 GTUs tomorrow morning. Probably buying! Just posting my excitement here, haha. Some of these cars look really great, definitely some great inspiration for me to spend the money tomorrow.

Some things came up and didn't get to see the car until yesterday, but here's pictures

Anyway, it's an '89, verified real by the door sticker. Has 101k, parked since 2003. Fresh repaint, all stock otherwise, right down to the air box & factory radio Has a good bit of rot behind all 4 wheels, even though it's a FL car its whole life. He said he lived on some land near a brackish/salty river, and mud was always flung on the car. There were also a bunch of cows, and maybe their ****/**** had something to do with it?

It's $1200, was going to be half that but he started fixing certain things putting more money into it. And the guy REALLY doesn't know RX-7s, or atleast how to work on them affordably. For instance, there's a BRAND NEW mazda wiper switch in the glove box that he dropped $300 on... yikes.

I should be picking it up right after my '87 sport is back together, and I'll have a new spot to keep this one. I'll post my VIN code then

Looking forward to it!
