Got the Rx7 back today!

Okay, i got the car back and snapped some pictures of the fire damage. Luckily it's all isolated to the engine bay, and mostly just to the passenger side. Here are some of the pics.

How hard do you think this is going to be to repair? LoL

What caused the fire? Did the FPD give out?

Lots of melted plastic and burnt wires. May be time consuming, but doesn't look terrible. I'm sure it can run again with work.

I think it might have been, but i'm not sure.

I traded the car in and they did some "work" on it and then sold it. They got it back after the fire when the lady demanded her money. I bought it for $300.

I pulled the OMP and had been premixing before this event and had the OMP spot blocked off. You'll notice that it's kind of back in that location. I'm thinking it was spraying hot oil everywhere, that with a little bit of gas and an ignition and it's going to burn.

Luckily it doesn't look too bad.

that's pretty mild as far as engine fires go. Good luck fixing it up, the exterior looks minty fresh.
