Got my new BNR stage 4!! W00 H00!
Mmmm, first a Gt35 is too small for an Rx7 and second it won't fit a T4 manifold since the Gt35 is T3.. The 35R would be better suited for a rotary as everyone will attest but it still isn't T4.

An S4 with removed twin scrool will have a slower spool but higher overall power compared to a S$ turbo with twin scrool, but both lack compared to an S5 divided manifold.

Well, Bryan at BNR has a reputation of being a good builder, albeit a bit on the slow side. I felt that the wait was justified, because I was reassured that it was a good turbo, from a reputable builder.

The S4 exhaust manifold is undivided with a twin scroll system. The S5 manifold is fully divided (and superior.)
The Turbo cartridges are the same amongst S4 and S5 turbos, and other than the manifold and wastegate designs, are virtually identical in exhaust sides.
The S5 has a Superior exhaust manifold; there is no way tat the S4 undivided will make more power.
I think the use of 'twin scroll' is decieving. To most people a twin scroll manifold simply means a divided as opposed to collected turbo manifold. However to FC owners, twin scroll usually refers to the s4 turbo's design.
I ran a s4 with and without the twin scroll. While the turbo was stock and not a hybrid, I did notice more noticable power in the higher rpms. However I wouldn't reccomend it on a stock turbo, or possibly even on a hybrid. The increased lag simply was not worth the fractional gain in power to me.

Good Lord.
The series 5 manifold is superior in every way to the series 4 manifold.
I'll say it again, just like everybody else:
The Series 5 manifold is superior.
So yes, just because of the manifold.

"I prefer the S4 over the S5 just b/c when I get done with the wastegate portion of the turbine housing, it will be able to control the boost a whole lot better than a ported out S5 turbine housing. The S4 usually run 100 more than the s5 in price, but you don't have to do the conversion from S4 to S5 (manifold/turbo). "

So J when do you have to pass emissions? Thinking of s SP or something when the rebuild comes along?
