Are you looking for rebuilds or remans?

Why are you picking up a rolling chasis?

ECU: do you want a stock one or aftermarket?

Same for the tranny? Stock, rebuilt, or aftermarket?

seems expensive to me, we can get them here for 1k cdn, same thing with the same amount of "jdm miles" , but I think the wiring harness is cut.
yes, I'm 110% sure on that price, for longblock, tranny, turbo, intercooler, ect.

If you can't do things yourself you might want to think about another car. These cars are a bit repair/upkeep intensive. Unless you have lots of money to burn on labor that is....

That sucks, I really love these cars but I can only do simple things like tune ups.

It's not worth it to get a chassis, then buy an engine and then pay someone else to do everything. But if you decide to do it yourself, you'll acquire a time intensive hobby :-).

check the for sale section 5k will get you a nice 89+ t2. I would not recommend spending 5k on a 87-88 t2 unless its above 300 rwhp.

It is not exactly that easy. As well, the J-Spec injectors are different, requiring a J-**** harness. The UIM, and LIM are different as well. In cali, I could not use them because of smog reasons. Something to think about.
