gauges dont work??

my volts gauge dosent work what should i look for?
my water temp gauge sometimes moves, at stop lights some times it goes to the 1/16 mark and when i go it goes all the way down. could it be that the engine is running too cold or is it the gauge?
BTW i had a different rad 2 days ago and the temp was at 1/3 mark

this pictures where taken today at different stop lights and it was like 90 degrees here in Arizona

If it was me, I'd go through the troubleshooting steps in the Factor Service Manual (Shop Manual). Basically with your voltmeter you check the resistance on the senders (oil, temperature, etc..), check the voltage being delivered to / from the sensors, and then check the voltage on the pins on the back of the gauge cluster.

Download the FSM from:

First off check to see if the connectors are plugged in on the oil pressure sender and water temp sensor under the oil filter pedastal. For the oil pressure gauge check to make sure that the wire going to the oil pressure sender isnt grounded somewhere. Also check to see if the black condensor (bolted on the slave) is still intact.
