first thing I would check is spark. That might be caused by a lack of spark (plugs, wires, coil packs), however, that would mean that there's also probably a leak underhood to let the fumes out for you to smell. There's also the cold start/hot start deal that might be running it too rich and allowing some extra gas to seep out. Have you modified any of the emissions or starting equipment? If so, that would be the first place to look, and if not, then I'd check for spark (use a voltmeter to test each step and make sure there's voltage at the end)

if youre talking about being able to smell fuel in your exhaust, thats pretty much the norm.....for a modded FC. if you dont have exhaust mods(no cats) then id check something. the fuel smell on a stock car shouldnt be that strong.

If you smell raw unburnt fuel all the time you have a leak somewhere, your first place to check is the pulsation dampner.
If you smell a "rich" fuel smell that is to say raw fuel that has made it through the engine uncombusted then there could be any number of problems.
In order for anyone to help you your going to have to specify what exatly the problem is.

I have an 87 na and the exhaust always smells of gas.
I believe no cats is the cause. Some guy on the forum was using an msd box to boost the spark and he said the fumes went away. without the cats the extra fuel just passes on through and out the tailpipes.
