Fuel regulator

Hey guys...can I use a cheap fuel pressure regulator off ebay ($30), instead of spending 139 bucks on the areomotive one??? almost done with the transplant!!!!

I need help deciding which fpr to use also. I already got quoted 160 for a aem one. My parts guy can also get Megan, sard, greddy, hks and some other companies. He cant get aeromotive. I also need help deciding which one to get. I want one that I can rebuild in the future. Any recomendations?

Where did you find a $30 unit? I would wonder why all other companie are over 100, and the ebay special is $30

just got a used aeromotive one off the forums or ebay dude, you can't go wrong with them.

B&M makes one that is supposed to fit Hondas and Acuras that replaces the top portion of the stock one and is adjustable. They are about $50. I've had good luck with them on 2 cars running Megasquirts.

Oh sweet, do you have pictures?

now would this also act like a fuel pulsation dampener? Im really wondering about people that have had problems dissconnecting hte pulsation dampener. My buddy was telling me an aftermarket fuel pump I have might help me out and I might not need a fuel pulsation dampener.

I am barely going to start working again very soon, so right now I am broke. Even then, I dont want to spend too much on my fuel system, I know it can really add up after all the fittings.

Spend the money where it should be spent. Cheap out on something else like a BOV. Spend the money on a good FPR as it's a critical part of the fuel system. If the diaphram breaks, it will shoot fuel everywhere. If it's action is not smooth, you will get erratic pressure. I can tell just by looking at the fittings that the two regulators you linked to are made in China.

What do you think about this guys idea of using a subaru in-line dampener? https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.ph...ation+dampener

I have it as a spare part when I bought a used project car 2 years ago, I was thinking about adding a dampener and jsut using that with my stock fpr.

Darnit, I might be able ot get a good deal on a sard fpr, but I'm just curious, what do you think?

Why do people always try to cheap on parts like this, I mean I can understand with a turbo but a 130$ FPR? 130 bucks is NOT expensive.

Im chinese. lol jk. Im going to order the sard one myself. Ill just gimp out and use regular fuel injection rubber hose and barb fittings
