And to boot. yesterday i drove 2 1/2 hours to pick up another Walbro 255... and still the same ****! NO FUEL PRESSURE! im so lost right now that i want to take the gasoline from inside the tank pour it on the car and throw a match on that bitch and watch it burn!

Do you have a fuel pressure guage? How do you know you have no pressure? What model and year car?

The fuel pump will only run if the ignition is in the "start" position, or the AFM is open. It will not run if either of those is not happening. (unless you jumper the check connector by the AFM)

yes i have a gauge and im leaving the FPR all the way up jus to see if the gas runs through.. the car is a 1990 Vert RX7 with the T2 Swap... i guess im gonna try and wire it directly to the battery and see if its a voltage problem

I hear ya brother. I just replaced my fuel pump the other day. Solved one problem and now have to figure out my loss of powa.

Maybe the gas cap is bad.

When I took off my old one the ground looked kinda oxidized. I filed both the terminal ends with a file.

My pump works, but I cannot hear the whirring sound I have read about in other threads that indicates it is working.

Listen near the pump(I did not do that part, but all the plastic crap molding was off to get to where they have it hidden). If no sound, check the EGI main fuse.

If there is a whirring sound for a long period of time, the system is not pressurizing correctly, check the fuel system pressure.

From there one is supposed to check the fuel pump pressure, but you have put in a new one, I doubt that the new one is bad, but it is possible.

I think that someone that knows more will chime in soon.

Good Luck,
C-CK

yea i can hear the pump run... in think my neighbor can too (damn walbros) lol but its still not doin anything... i took the fuel feed line and pointed it into a gas can and the pump was pumping fuel but it was REALLY weak... its was like a smooth steady stream but soft so i know its not gonna make any pressure

sock or fuel filter is clogged..have you checked them? dissconnect the feed line right before the fuel filter and see if you have good pressure

Gas cap has zippity to do with it. EGI fuse also has zippity to do with it.
