the hose is for the air pump, it pumps air into the cat among other things, you should probably put a small air filter on it.

you know what i am saying right it has two hoses one with a filter not the stock one and the other one is connected to the air pump which is loss just nothing in there.

any how i am trying to figure out why the car isn't going over the 120mph? i mean it goes fast on 1st, 2st, 3rd, and gets little bit slower on4th but it touches the 6500rpm and i change to 5th gear where it seems like it is struggling to get over the 4500rpm on 120mph or so the thing is that it takes along *** time to get from 100mph to 120mph. why?

yeah, it used to go into the stock air box... now it sucks in unfiltered air to the air pump, put a small filter on it..

dude do u know how small that filter is i mean it would barely fit in it's just like a little toy . i don't know do you think that the small filter will reduce the the amount of the oxogyn that's being pumped or it won't matter.

now are you saying that the reason why the car doesn't exced the 120 is because the filter!!!!!. i don't know but it doesn't sound reasonable.?

you're probably overboosting... get a boost gauge and see what kind of psi you're running.

120mph sounds right. I got my N/A up to 130mph. If your motor was brand new it may go faster but why?

The filter they are talking about is a small seprate filter that you can buy at most parts stores. It's about the size of the oil pressure sender and looks similiar. It is also cheap.

hey this is the filter in the picture it's too small. the thing is that i don't think that it would provide the same amount of air to the engine as without it.

what do u think would it effect it positively or negatively?

and how come that 120mph sounds right i don't get it. isn't it suppose to get at least to 140 or so. this is an rx7 for the god sake THE ROTARY infinte power.

It doesn't look like you are a turboII guy so "overboosting" doesn't apply to you.

The factory turboII is meant to run between 6-8psi of boost, over boosting is when the turbos wastegate cannot dump enough exhaust gases to keep the boost pressure regulated where it is suppose to, and the boost ends up creeping past the 6-8psi(sometimes 12psi or more).

no it's not a tII but i am planning to install a turbo on it but it's gone take a while eventhough i am gone change the cat to high cat flow, and install a carbon fiber drive shaft which will increase the hps on the engine this is my plane for now.
