Front Strut bar problem

Is hitting the alternator i remember seeing a thread about them... i am assuming that i have to get a belt that is smaller in size and then go ahead and lower the alternator down? anyone got some help on this?

Ebay ones are pure ****.

Search for a Infini strut bar in the for sale section. Made by Mazda for the FC so you know it will work right.

here is a pic to show you what to look for.

i like th racing beat one **** is perfect but yeah you can just get a smaller belt and lower the alt. that shoud work but then again idk me engine aby is empt and all i use are 2 alt belts

my cusco currently has about 1/4''-1/2'' clearance. id imagine a belt shortening would work

Go to autobone and compare it to another one that is a couple inches shorter. They should have a stock belt in stock to compare with. I'm using a ghetto rigged s13 front bar. has about 1/2 inch of clearance between the bar and the intake elbow. It's straight across though, not bowed outward like an RX7's.

i had the same problem with my meghan racing one and i put it under my work bench and just put a little bow in it and it clears now, and it is still really stiff

I made my own.
I made it out of an old metal bed frame. Its straight but has an L shape to it.
I had to cut some notches out of it for clearances for the alternator, power-steering -pump-tube, and the radiator hose.
I used the strut-tower brackets from a freinds strut-tower bar that he wrecked.

It seems to work great.

you could grind down a groove in the bar right where it hits the alternator.

smaller belt is your best bet i shaved the altanaitor down on mine it doesnt hit when your lookn at it but when the engine touqes it rubs

yes...that is what i am thinking...so basically them are pretty simple to put on right just ubolt the top and then slide over the strut bolts and tighten down? and then done? thanks guys... the rear i think i am going to have to cut...the towers
