front seal or something worse?

well long story short i just i guess overhauled my engine. and got her running though everything was fine and i accidently killed it. 7 months in an auto, i was a bit rusty.

well as we were hookin up the jumper cables i looked down and noticed this puddle had appeared....

son of a bitch. i dont remember there being a crush washer there when i removed it or when i installed it. ugh.
but the o ring is brand spankin new.

now is it possible to replace that while the motor is still in the car? and also someone give me an actual name of the washer or a place to buy it, really want to be driving this thing after 7 months of waiting.....

Any Mazda dealer or Mazdatrix (dealer).

A simple way to remove that bolt is to get a breakover bar with the right socket (19mm I think). Put the socket on the bolt.........lay the bar over against the left fender............bump the starter several times to act as a impact wrench.......bolt loosens.

Read all the warnings about removing the hub bolt to prevent the torrington bearings from dropping out of place resulting the the runination of your engine.

To tighten the bolt.............hold the flywheel in place by jamming a device inbetween the flywheel and the bellhousing at the inspection port near the clutch slave cylinder.

That's a general outline.
