front diff mount/subframe drop HOW TOO.. PICS needed

front diff mount/subframe drop HOW TOO.. PICS needed

Alright, I am needing to replace my front diff mount. just got the mount but all the how to's and installs are without pics.

how do I go about lowering the subframe.. bolt by bolt can someone illustrate or tell me what to do in what order...

Basically someone whos done this, a step by step for the most basic rx7 newb would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Rear sub frame is a bitch to drop as a unit. Unbolt the rear front control arm bolt the DTSS bolts watch the angel wafer peace when it falls. Unbolt the rear tie rod ends and use an air hammer and fork to bust the ball joints out. Undo the front diff mounts. Unbolt the sub frame keep it aligned and it should drop.

And do a search for a pinon snubber...

Then install it while your there!

Which is better the stock mazda diff or the mazdatrix comp one/.

I do daily driving in NYC and i like to wild out at night at break neck speeds

I hope this helps... It's about my experiences changing the rear mounts. The whole rear end has to come out, so naturally the front mount was unbolted.

Get short wrenches.

I don't remember if you can remove the front diff mount this way, but hopefully that might help.

I thought he was changing the subframe mount and not the diff mount.

ok, I ended up just taking the WHOLE crossmember out after removing all the necessary bolts. part of the bracket that the front diff mount goes to broke. I got that welded and its time for reassembly.

The comp. mount was cheaper and suposedly stronger. Question: what is the advantage of no counterweight? should I put the factory one on the mount or should it be left w/out one like the comp mount comes?
