The frigging antennae is stuck !!!
Although my TII is running almost perfectly, I have a couple of problems:
1) the passenger lock does not unlock with the remote. It still works fine, but it does not open automatically when I unlock the car
2) the usual wiper relay
3) the power antennae is stuck (as it seems). Does not go up OR down...I know I must "undress" the trunk and dig in, but anyone have any ideas ?

I got the same problem. In fact, I never had an antenea that worked, so I'm unfamiliar with how it even works. is it supposed to go up when the car turns on? or when the radio turns on? or do I have to press a button?

If the antenna motor is running when you turn on the stereo, then you just have a broken mast. Mazdatrix and the dealer have replacement masts for about $35 to $40. It is not a simple thing to replace, the majority of the ime the power antenna will need to be disassembled, but if you are the type to do all your work its not bad.

i dont ever listen to the radio and my antenna was stuck up, so i just pushed down on it until it went down on its own and clicked about 15 times and voila no antenna sticking up (looks a lot better)

If the motor is not running when you turn on the radio, and assuming your wiring is intact then usually it is the relay or antenna motor which has failed.(In my experience it has always been the relay). These are expensive from Mazda. So I have been stripping power antennae out of cars at the wreckers yard. You can get them really cheap particularly if the antenna rod is broken.About 50% time the relays have been good.

Yeah the motor is running, I can hear it clicking (because it is opposed by whatever is stopping the antennae going up), but the antennae itself doesnt go anywhere....
Probably will have to take off wing and motor to check it out....

How do I find out if all the wiring is intact? Just look at it? or do I need to do a test on it somehow. Also, what is the relay? Is it on the antenna? Cause I need to know what I need to rip out when I go to the junkyard this weekend.
