freakin wheel lock

freakin wheel lock

ok so i bought the car and it has some weird wheel locks on all the wheels. i need to take the wheels off and have no idea besides drill them out which i dont want to do. heres a picture

Interesting. The center stud in it looks threaded. I haven't seen any locks like that before. If you didn't get the key, your probably going to have to end up drilling it off.

Find a 12 point socket thats just a tad to small to fit over the lug nut then hammer it on, ratchet/pipe to take it off, then a vice with a small bolt to hammer out the lug nut. Had to do this to my fathers miata.

yea people have been telling me that. i just thought mabye someone had seen this before and i could just get the key

What kind of rims are they? I would assume you can still buy the key or make one one you know what it looks like.

P.S. Edit your pics smaller so people can actually see it without scrolling all over the place.

I think that's just the wheel stud poking thru.

On that style i usually use my air hammer with a flat bit in it. Dig a groove then start to make spin counterclockwise. You can use a hammer and chisel but a bit harder. They also make special sockets you can get from snap on and im sure other places that will remove locks

you sure? they look a hell of alot like FD wheels.

anyways, i've had pretty good luck hammering a spare socket onto wheel locks. if you use the right size it will grip enough to break it loose.
