the stock turbo is gonna suck ***** on that set up. with huge secondary ports like that id be shocked if it could hold 5 pounds of boost to redline. plus you're going to try to run a stock ecu? it wont compensate for the extra fuel those ports need at all, and will probably lean way out above 5k rpm. add to that the fact thats its 9.7:1 compression and i think you're building a bomb. a standalone is pretty much a necessity for something as wild as this, or at the very very very bare minimum least, an SAFC or piggy back of some sort.

I think it would hold 10psi with no problems... I just don't know how well it will run on the stock ECU. I had a large HBP turbo motor with S5 N/A rotors. Boost wasn't the problem, but running on the stock ECU was. It sounded great and rev'd to the moon... it just lacked a powerband. It was either idleing (brap brap brap) or WOT, there was no midrange at all...kinda like a honda passing by all loud and Sh#t, but when you looked over at the car, it was only going 10mph...lol
anyhow this is a 6-port, maybe that will be the difference

I have been talking hard to phil about the ECU options, when we where starting this project it was just going to be a 6-Port turbo, but things have exploded into bigger things.
There are a few Options at this point for fuel and Ign
Mega Squirt that does Ign also
Stock Turbo II ECU Re-Programed
Total Standalone - That is if we could find one really cheap
I have the Fuel/Ign Problems well underhand, I will not let this become another half *** 6-Port Turbo, Trust Me
I have been doing this to dam long to do some stupid stuff like that.
O and just for that extra amount of fuel, i dont no if it was posted, there will be GSL-SE 680cc Secondarys to help on the really top end. If i had a set of 1000cc i would think about using them if i had a ECU that would run them without being all stupid RICH
As i no that Phill has no problem with massing the gas from time to time

Yea when we pulled the rotors out of the first motor they went that bad, then we cleaned everything and i rapped them in a towel and oiled them, well the oil i used did'nt work that well. I cleaned the faces on the rotor well, and cleaned most of the light surface rust off the side, the inside of the rotor really only have alot of surface rust.
It wasn't on the bearing or any critical parts. The only thing that looks bad was the oil passages inside the rotor but it was really surface rust.
But that camera does make it look worst that it was.

Aux bridge ports with sleeves kick ***. You can actually cut the bridges bigger then that, so you have to beval the rotor housing, without affecting idle with the sleeves in.

Well the motor is in, I slept in so i didnt get a early start. Sorry Phil
But the motor is in and all most ready to start, just have a few water lines and two fuel lines and some intercooler lines.
And this was the first time that i have seen this car, WTF is up with these oil cooler lines, it looks like what use to be quick connects.
Also i forgot about the Wastgate acuator, you only can have one bolt on it. So that was pain in the butt to fix. Other than that it was a normal install.
Look for some start up videos in the next few days.
The megasqurit will be coming in around friday.

OK, well bitter sweet news for todays progress.... I Hooked up everything, took me awihle but its done. I went to start it and it cranked and not even a single fire, I knew at this point that the fuel pump was not running (why I don't know) so I jumped it with the under hood connecter and got it to run. Porceded to crank and nothin.
Now my first instinct would be to drag it in gear with the ignition on untill it ran but somthing told me this was a fuel problem, there was no smoke and not even one fire, so plan B: Quick Start, it fired up on the first try with quick start, lots of smoke but it started.
Cliffs: the motor is fine but did not really get it to run, it fired up on quick start. There is a fuel problem.

I have one. Love it. Stock everything at the moment, but I am putting together an RB exhaust at the moment. just need the Y-pipe. Im either going to go full NA with ITBs (once fuji-racing starts selling them) or a rear mount turbo.
6000-8000 doesnt let up at all, even with the stock computer and 460cc injectors. I seriously need a stand alone though. i KNOW i am missing out on HP without one.

The tone changes some, but its completely stock intake and exhaust. Were it an open intake and a quieter exhaust I think I would hear it more pronounced. Only thing not stock is the lack of a cat. I think there is a lot to be had with a megasquirt and full exhaust. I have the RB header and pre-silencer in my apt right now, just waiting on the Y-pipe to show up in the for sale section. As soon as Zeal gets the S5 PnP megasquirt out Im buying one. Ive even kicked around getting an S4 MS PnP and running premix, but I wouldnt know what to do with the S5 OMP.
Anyone know if the S5 OMP just wont work if the ECU isnt commanding it to, or will it just dump oil?? In other words is its default open or closed?

I could, but I live in an apartment complex who frowns strongly on working on your car. I have been talked to about changing my oil. Anyway, if I were to go that route I would just assume pull the S5 OMP, plug everything up and run pre-mix. At least that way I could for certain say that the engine is always getting oil and have no fear of a failed OMP.
To be honest, im not sure about the exhaust ports. I purchased the car with the engine in it. I got it from Kevin at Rotary Resurrection. IIRC he said that he did some cleaning up of the exhaust ports, but I dont think he enlarged them. I could be wrong on either account...
Everything said and done if I could do it over again I would have purchased a roller or a blown S5 and had the engine built to my specifications. I might still down the road. Since I dont have to worry about emissions testing I would go with a half bridge and the Aux bridge. As is Im hoping for over 200 whp when its all said and done. Assuming I stay NA.
