As I recall, all the FC fuel pressure regulators are held on with two 10MM bolts. Remove them, and the FPR slides right out after some wiggling. An o-ring seals it to the rail.

The bolts are M10 for sure, and the FPR has no threads into the rail. Removal of the two bolts means that the FPR slides right out. The threads on the bolts are not reversed.

it sounds like were talking about 2 differnt things here, the fpr i'm talking about is on the end of the secondary fuel rail and is towords the fire wall side of the engine. this is an s4 car so the fpr nor the pd is conected directly into the fuel rail they seem to be threded in to the rail (can see therds on the inside of the fuel rail through the opening on the secondary for the injectors) and its coming off difficultly and i dont want to strip out the treads on the rail.

The T2 FPR is not bolted to the fuel rail. It's screwed in. Just a standard thread, work it like a bolt.
