Question FMIC piping issue

thinking about using a FMIC but i cant seem to find a good method to use the stock turbo and have a piping where you dont make a horendously sharp bend right off the outlet. searching failed to get me anywhere tahnks to the magillions of threads about intercooling. Can anyone give me a picture of what they did to not have a 180 degree bend? Kinda wish there was a way to reset the outlet to another angle....

Why exactly would you need a 180 degree bend? I've never seen a setup that required one, almost anybody just uses a 90 degree then forward.

Pretty much, it'd get in the way of a lot of things. I don't quite understand why one would be needed at all?

mayeb i didnt state it correctly, in order to get under the radiator on the left side (if looking from front of car) you have to to down. seeing the oullet is aimed up, you must go 180 degrees. Two 90 degree bends spaced apart is still a 180 degree bend. same 2% pressure loss. Is that better? if i must, i bust out pc paint.

Oh christ, no wonder, almost nobody goes under, they either route it through the washer bottle hole, or they cut their own.

The old HKS(possibly greddy?) kits reclocked the compressor housing until it was pointing down.

You dont go UNDER the radiator... you go BESIDE it.... Ie, you usually have to cut a hole in the sheet metal.

The new Greedy kits sit in front of the frame rails and routes the pipe down under the headlights

My FMIC sits between the frame rails, so i "S'd" the pipe beside the radiator

And yes, many guys have added an FMIC to the stock turbo.. the Greddy kit is mad to mount to the stock turbo.

Not to hijack the thread but every thing "bolts, nuts, hood latch and TB linkage" in the front of that 7 looks new, and by new I mean "Showroom" new. Did you buy all the parts for this project car.
