Brake pad question
Brake pad question
Doing my first brake job ever, so bear with me. Anyway, I have a set of raybestos
PG plus pads (front). Two of the pads in the box are identical to the pads I took off, the other two new pads have a metal tab sticking out which forms a 'T' at the end of it. Well, that tab keep the pad from getting completely seated. Can't put the pins in. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Should there be tabs on two of the four pads out of the same box?
Somehow, I think the answer is gonna make me look stupid, but I'm willing to risk it. .

Its the wear indicator for the brake pads. You put one of each pad on the same rotor. Try sliding the part with the indicator in first. If its the four piston calipers, then i have no idea what its for. I wouldnt use those brake pads in any car.
