Flooring it for the first time?

So here I have my '91 TII with a broken in streetported engine and haven't floored it yet. According the to the S-AFC I haven't gone past 77% throttle.

Mods:
Atkins Streetported Engine (1250 miles on it)
Apex N1 Dual
RP DP & Hi Flow Cat
Walbro High Flow Fuel Pump
Water Temp, Boost, Oil Temp, Oil Pres
Haltuner Air/Fuel
HKS FCD
Apex S-AFC
720CC Secondaries

Anything I should do before I floor it for the first time? Just make the S-AFC run the car overly rich and go down from there?

Should I unscrew the manual boost controler to the lowest boost setting possible?

Or just wait to floor it for the first time on the dyno? I want to do that. But I figure I should fix any problems before I run on a dyno.

James

You have a lot more self control than I do. I know that as soon as my break in period was up I'd be driving it like normal, with my foot on the floor.

:o

Wanna race? I don't do the 1/4 mile so there have to be curves involved. We'll see just how much that extra weight affects my driving.

May my next post be "FloorED it!!!"

I am going to unscrew that boost controler until the thingy just about falls out (lowest poss. boost) and work in from there. I will tune the safc to just about full rich and work down from there. Then off to the Dyno!

don't richen the AFC, it'll run like sh*t. just set it at 0, that should be fine with the 720's, you won't have much boost anyways.

Ok, I will try that scott.

Bill - I am getting it done at a place in Greensboro NC called Turbo Tune. They said between $100-150 to do the S-AFC.
