A couple months ago I picked up a cheap 88 Turbo II that I've been working on since...

I've spend a long time on trying to figure out my flooding issues. I have good compression, I installed brand new injectors. I even installed an SAFC and turned down the full at idle, along with a fuel regulator. I have a new fuel filter new plugs... did a full tune up. New themo sensor... The car idles absolutely fine thanks to the SAFC now, but still floods. The only mods I can think of that are causing flooding are either, the Walbro doing something funny or the removed rats nest, or possibly a crapped out ECU. Anyone have any other ideas to stop this? Any other ideas on what I can try? I really want to get rid of my fuel cut off switch. Thanks.

wow man.... My boys FC had major issues with this too! we found two things to be the problem. The first were the injectors. They were leaking fuel into the block and air through the seals (you already replaced them). Second, the stock air box was clogged and the AFM was broken. No air to the fuel=no BANG.... Check and make sure the air cleaner/air box is clean and that your AFM is properly working. That would be my guess, if not invest in a new ECU....

In addition, malfunctioning sensors (IE the waterthermosensor) can be culprits. Might be a good idea to start the car and scan the codes. You might be surprised.

A worn out AFM can also cause hot start & flooding symptoms.
Quick test:
Start the motor.
Set the S-AFC to monitor the AIR flow & show the dial face.
Slowly raise & lower the RPM's and watch the AIR % to make sure it smoothly follows the AFM flap motion. Look for any bumps in the swing of the indicator.
