finally started-rev and dies
finally started-rev and dies
so i have a question about my car. its an 87t2 vert street-port. fd3s power fc with banzai racing harness adapter with their start up map, fd intake air temp sensor, gm 3bar map sensor, all emissions removed as well as iac valve. my problem is once the car gets running and i can get it to idle and rev it up and it will return to idle as long as its not up to operating temp. as soon as it gets to operating temp and i go to rev the engine it will bog a bit then rev up and then immediately die as soon as i let the throttle return to closed. i was thinking a possible timing issue or tps, but theres always the chance that something in the power fc needs to be calibrated. thanks again
You have an S4, so did you splice the FRT wire to the 3F wire? And did you adjust your TPS?
Depending on how much vacuum your car is pulling at idle you may need to add or subtract some fuel from those cells.

You mean 1v right? Use the commander to view the VTA1 & VTA2 for setting the TPS.
If it is running well during warm up, then add more fuel to the idle cells. Water temp correction adds fuel, when the temps hit 80C the mixture is 1:1

tps set to 1 volt on those two displays via the hand commander. the engine pulls 12 in lbs of vacuum on idle. the problem is consistent once the car is warm. on warm up the engine can be revved and it will return to idle. once it is up to operating temp and you rev it, it will stall if you let the throttle close immediately after you rev it. you can keep it running though if you keep pumping the gas in and out after you rev it and slowly let off the throttle.
found out some new info about this problem with my car. i messed with the cas, tps and idle set screw once the car is warmed up and none if it really makes a difference in the carit winds up eventually stalling. it now has a new thing it does where once it starts and idles for about five seconds it revs up to 1,900 rpms on its own and dies. on the power fc hand commander you can see that the injector duty goes to 0.0 about a second before it does this. i have not messed with the map on the power fc at all yet. i was looking for suggestions on what it could be before i send it off to be tuned. i dont know that it isnt something like the tps or maybe even the cas breaking connection once it gets to operating temp. anything will help
