Moving up build....

Follow me now my fellow rotorheads as I rip out my stock jdm 13b and move up to streetported 13b with s4 rotors. I will also be going with a bigger turbo/external wastegate. I am open to all comments and questions and I would love any input. Thanks and I hope you all enjoy.

It's kind of like a similar paint scheme to my car! Except, the outside is red... Oh well, Red, Black and White isn't that bad. What sort of Turbo you got anyway? I'm following down your road shortly...

Is it just me or is your oil fill funnel in the way of the intake?

Looks good. So what is the benefit of the S4 rotors... compression, weight?

How do you have 800+ posts and ask questions like that?

So lower compression for higher boost? I thought it was better to have higher compression so you run lower boost.

There's different philosophies for different people. Some will do a Hi-Comp Turbo Engine, others will do a Low-Comp Turbo engine. It's just your end goals. There's benefits and draw backs for both. I won't claim to be an expert on either, but the information's out there with them. One really nice thing about lower compression rotors on a turbo application is they are less prone to pre-detonation depending on the boost and what not.

i don't know what you mean......
It was a tongue in cheek comment about your pictures and the angles of them where you have the oil funnel pedestal at just the right angle in all of them.

and what i have to use tommorrow.....

everything is going well so far. I plan to pull the old motor out tommorrow, clean up, and maybe get the fly wheel resurfaced and swap the clutch.....but it might be cold so who knows. still looking at a much larger turbo system and a slight upgrade on the fuel system. the pictures aren't as clear cause i didn,t have my sony handy.....any thoughts so far?
