FD UIM conversion?

FD UIM conversion?
i have always been interested in the conversion as the FD UIM looks ALOT cleaner than the 2nd gen UIM (and i'm assuming it would improve air flow?)...
i know there's a few people who've done it here, and all i'd like to know is what is needed for it to get done. i am talking about placing the FD UIM onto a S5 block...
from what i "think" i've read in the past, i think ADAPTER plates are required?? also, would it work with the stock ECU? or is it mandatory to have a standalone?

The Cause of Death
Recently someone did back to back comparisons. There was less than 5 hp difference IIRC. The FD UIM being a bit superior... but then again you also have to factor in possible environmental changes... overall it sounded like it wasn't worth it.

shoot a pm to fc3s91. He sells the adapter plate for the conversion and will probably even do the work for or help you figure out what to do. He's in Glendora ca.
By the way, what up Mark? Did you have teddyrx2 do some work for you? I thought I saw your car minus the front bumper in some of his pics.

^ damon?! did you change ur SN?! to answer your question, it was probably someone else... i haven't had any work done to the car in any other place other than my driveway and lucky7 in the past year or so

i'm sure emissions comes into play once the BAC is gone, but hey, my rats nest and egr emissions crap is already long gone! so the problem i might create in this case would be holding idle¿
and for the looks alone, i'd go through the hassle! i just like/or try atleast to be original, ya feel me!? (even though many others have done it already LOL)... it's just my way of NOT getting a 13B-RE or 20B hahahah
i'll be going front mount in the near future, and i think this...
... would be more of what i want rather than having the Greddy/Higgi compression tube...

you will gain no power, just looks. if its worth it to you for the looks alone, go for it.
There is a guy selling a kit here for like 250. I'd like take him up on that. The FC UIM is pretty restrictive.
i didnt really get a good look at that dyno sheet at first, It's kinda hard to read. But once I dl'd it to my mac and zoomed in a little, I could see that there was a pretty decent power gain.
I'll either do that, or custom intake mani once I get my v-mount done.
