FD LIm to TII UIM

Ive seen plenty about using the TII LIM and the FD UIM, but my new turbo doesnt clear the TII LIM for the exhaust housing and seeing its cheaper to get a FD LIM, then make a spacer, i want to go that route. But i know you have issues with using the FD UIM and TII LIM, but is it the same for using the FD LIM and the TII uim? i would presume so....but yeah...thoughts?

this is for a s4 tii

The FD ports do not match up with the FC ports. The FD's are located in a different spot...

Also, the mounting holes are different. It's a waste, really...

Your turbo doesn't clear? People run GT42R's with T2 LIM's. Just grind it down, or get a decent turbo manifold....

must be a big turbo, time to look into a manifold that will move the turbo out a bit.
or custom intake.
Hogan makes an intake that should be smaller. not cheap

Ok...I guess if you have the skill to reshape the mating surface on a rotor housing, you can do it.......

Your going to end up needing to make a spacer to fit it, which will position you as far, if not farther out then with the T2 LIM..

If not, DO make a write up !

the fd lim will not work on the TII engine without using a very thick adapter plate which will end up moving the lim away from the ngine....in your way again.

My advice is to get a different exhaust manifold.
