I haven't heard of anyone recently. You can always try the marketplace for a used one.

If you're still alive OP I did come across this.

MAZDA(FC3S) | ????? | ??????????????????????????????????????????

Page 3 RE Action Racing offers a FC to FD UIM adapter. I have no clue if it adapts the S4 or S5 LIM to the s6 UIM though so you would need to make sure on that one.

Came across an older thread here with a guy that got the Re Action Racing manifold adapter (listed in my post above) from a parts importer in Japan https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati.../#post11979881

I contacted the same parts importer and promptly got a response from them saying they will follow up with it on Monday when Re Action Racing is open.

I'll update whatever I find for people that might have a similar interest in converting to a FD UIM since this might be the only current maker of the adapter.

$300 plus shipping seems a little excessive.

Maybe you would find one but they're a rare find. Otherwise a bit expensive.

Got the reply about series specification.

"apparently the adapter is for kouki FC only, they dont do one for the zenki." -Streeter Corp

So series 5 only for the Re Action Racing adapter.

you weld a tiny bit of material to the UIM, get the FD gasket and use the FC gasket as template then port match.

Or get a 2x4 and some wood screws and drill some holes in it. That way you can do away with nasty, costly gaskets!

To do it right you have to also fill weld the inner ports on the FD upper manifold on one side about an 1 inch or so up into the port, then port match to the FC gasket.... otherwise the port doesn't stay the same diameter. the outer bolt holes don't line up either on the FD upper....it's bit of work this way but you are not adding any length to the intake track that using an adaptor adds.

lets face it most are doing this for appearance, and adapters are not readily availible. I doubt people bought the adapter due to an inch of abrupt flow intake runner length they bought them for bolt on ease.
we port matched mine 5 years ago, still running it. only one bolt was really an issue and it wasnt even that much of an issue.
if someone doesnt port they can have it done probably for a buck, buck and a half.
what i think would be a good idea is a very thin metal spacer to go between the UIM/LIM to sandwhich a s5/s6 gaskets, and i still may do it just need to talk to my local guy

Here's another source than Re Action Racing.

https://www.billetrotary.com.au/prod...ld-hat-adaptor

Doesn't look like they offer an option for specifically s4 or s5 LIM so I'm curious how close it would match up given s4 and s5 LIM have different ports. It is quite a bit cheaper though.

I know someone who specifically asked them which series LIM it suits and they didn't have a clue. Not exactly promising. It is going to fit one of them so it's still a good 50% chance you'll get the right one! I'm considering taking a chance if they offer a refund if not suitable. Of course, I'm local so don't have to risk big shipping costs and delay.

PS I was the one referred to above who got the REaction Racing one from Japan through an Australian sales agent. I can confirm it is to suit the s5 LIM. I never ended up using it and sold it locally. I was never really happy with the look of an adapter plate. It's all so...obvious.

I'm actually considering cutting the flange off a FD LIM and welding it to a s5 LIM, then port matching with a die grinder. I'm confident the end result will look much neater.

Do you have any pictures of it? Didn't look that bad to me but I've only ever seen it on their site.

That seems like a clever solution.

Hi. There's some pics of the Reaction Racing 13B-REW UIM to s5 LIM adapter here:
http://www.ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=246728

As you can see, it's very well made and quite thick. The thickness is probably a good thing in that it will help with clearance under the UIM, but it is very very conspicuous. I reached the conclusion that a hunk of billet sandwiched between the manifolds doesn't actually look nice (even the adapter itself looks great).

Maybe I'm missing it but I don't see any pictures of the Re Action Racing adapter in that thread.

I see the problem. The images were visible to registered users only. I have fixed that problem so you should be able to see them now.

Yeah I see it now, nice big pictures too. Well the machining, finish and construction seem to all be pretty solid on it. Might have to pick one up while they're still making them for the parts hoard. Pretty commendable for a little shop to still be selling them 16 years later. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
