Fcd?

Ok is it a good idea to get a FCD right now? I have an intake only for the time being but will be getting more and more in the next few weeks. Thanks.

it can't hurt unless you boost too much when you get full exhaust

I read somewhere that you shouldn't boost over 10psi, even with a FCD. Is that true? Hmmm..seems like I need to get my wastegate ported with a fcd. Then I should get the turbo upgraded while I am at it. Then I should get a boost controller since I got the wastegate ported. Damn...need to buy like everything at once.

unfortunately yes...... look at it this way. do it correctly and you save yourself the $$$ of buying a new engine in addition to the mods

Ok, so what are you saying is the right way? I mean should I just wait for the fcd until I get my larger injectors and s-afc? I want to do it right definitely.

the fcd won't do anything with stock exhaust anyway. if you can try and find a used upgraded ecu then get the 720's s-afc later the car tends to run alot better with a reprogrammed ecu such as gforce, superchips etc

I have thought of that but what do they reprogram it for? I mean what if I get more mods then it is programmed for or different ones? Well I know I want to get the 720cc injectors and s-afc so that I can have the fuel for whatever boost I want to go to(with the stock turbo at least).

most of them are programmed for full mods and you can run with whatever you have and it will just run a little rich. when you need the 720's and s-afc you can get them later and it will be easier to tune with the already mapped ecu
