Are FC and Porsche 944 RELATED????

I know they are very similar in style, but are they actually related structurally (e.g. Porsche sourced chassis/suspension design to Mazda, etc)????

somebody told me that they are, but I'd rather have you guys answer it than some n00b

When the FC was made... it was made to be a direct competitor to the porshe 924... which is COMPLETELY different... when the TII came around, I guess the direct competition is the 944 turbo. I am willing to bet money that they don't share a single thing.

Mazda designed the FC after the porsche 924, and had aspirations of beating it in performance.

Porsche and Mazda did not work together on either car. The RX-7 is a complete Mazda design.

The two cars share nothing in suspension geometry or frame.

There is your concrete answer.

The poor redneck is right... the rx-7 was designed to compete with the 924 (it was faster and cheaper).

But the 951 (944 Turbo) would probably beat the TII, even an S5 TII, in nearly any competition aside from pricing. 951s are damn fine cars to drive.

thank you that is all i wanted to hear!

'concrete' means a thorough explanation, 'no' is direct, but not concrete enough
