Fc genius please read

Hey guys I have a s4 and have just fitted a s5 gear box, now I have a drama that the tail shaft won't fit now. Are the s5 tail shafts different length as my old s4 ole is too long.
The pinion nut is hitting the little ring on the inside of the flange that bolts to the pinion flange.
I wasn't aware that they were different but the box is the only thing I have changed.

Please can someone tell me??

tail shaft or prop shaft? if its the prop shaft (or drive shaft here in the states) just catching the flange centering ring on the pinion stud, probably just needs a little love going onto the trans a little farther. if the seal in the tail housing of the trans is good it can make a nearly air tight seal and make it seem like the drive shaft is bottomed out when its not.

The pinion nut is hitting or the pinion is hitting?

I have had issues with certain driveshaft's flange interference with the pinion itself.
