FC drag car question

hi

im new on the 2 gens cars im always had 1st gen car but im planning to make a drag car and i think the FC will be a great candidate. first of all im wanna keep the stock suspension configuration so my question is, how good the FC on drag racing? are the FC have good take off or they spin the tires easy? and what suspension worki can do so it doesnt spin them? im not gonna go turbo im keeping it N/A FI because is just for having fun, not to break records. thanks

Ive managed 1.8 60 ft times on relatively stock suspension and street radial tires. Take that for what its worth.

how fast do you want to go? 12's don't take much money.

11's take a pretty good amount.
any faster than that and you're looking at a hefty amount of cash.

stock TII, blown engine: $500
Rebuild + Porting: $2000
Injectors, fuel pump, megasquirt: $500
Turbo, FMIC: $1000
Slicks: $free, usually. $500 tops.
various mounts + etc: $100
weight reduction: $free

That should put you DEEP into the 12's, if not better.
total investment less than $5k.

I find them a royal pain in the *** to launch consistently due to the light rear end.

For the same money/time/effort, a 1st Gen will always be the faster better drag car due to it's lighter weight and solid rear end.
