Exhaust needed

Recently bought my 91 fc. And my exhaust is rusted/blow out. I'm not looking for factory but I am looking for something that is not to loud. More for a daily driver. I want quiet. Post whatever you guys got or if you have ideas. I appreciate it all.

Racing beat sells nice quality exhaust systems for the Non turbo and turbo models. Are your catalytic converters still in decent shape? They sell a full Street system headers back for about 1200-1400 dollars depending on spec. They also sell just mufflers from the y pipe back. Check them out!

Racing Beat Exhausts.

Also since ive never done it on a car before but how about the idea of going from two one pipe, bad or good?

I think the Racing Beat cat back is by far the most popular choice on this forum and having had one on my NA for the last ten years, I'd agree.
Rotaries can have quite a raspy, almost two stroke bark, so other systems may make more power but the RB has the most pleasant/bearable sound. The RB mufflers hold up amazingly well, too. Were I not so lazy, I'm sure mine would polish up to like-new condition.
Be aware that every one I've ever seen- mine included, even after hours of tweaking- hangs slightly crooked. One of the flanges must be a bit askew and they've never fixed their jig.
Call it a feature, not a bug and deal with it.

+1 for racing beat, as long as you dont get their full race exhaust, their regular one is quiet and provides good power.

I encountered the crookedness also. I just did a custom rubber hanger on one side in the rear and made them the same height. It was driving me nuts. lol They are centered and perfect now thankfully.

Photo's attached of Racing beat "road race" full system from Headers back. The headers have a welded bung for O2 sensor installation. Everything needed was included. Even an engine to header gasket. $1400 Shipped

The image from the rear showing both mufflers was prior to adjusting hanging height with a custom rubber hanger. They currently match height.

Did you make the custom hanger or did you buy it, if you made it, how much for you to make me one, i could pay for shipping as well. since you guys told me about this one ive spent the last about 24 hours looking it up and seeing people using it all over, i will buy it once i get the money

When I say custom I mean a rubber hanger laying around my buddies shop slightly shorter to lift the muffler on that side just a small amount. The difference is about 1/2" when bolted up all together without adjustment. It's really a quick fix.

PS I left the slightly elongated oem hanger on there too. Just for good measure.. Good luck!

Exhaust

I just bought the Racing Beat CB and it was more quiet than my stock CB which had a lot of rust. The rest of my exhaust was in good shape but I only have 60k miles on the car. I was shocked with the RB CB b/c I couldn't hear them at all at first. I was very happy with the lower tone compared to the stock mufflers. And I am like you, I like quiet exhaust.

Another +1 on Racingbeat. I have the full road race exhaust on my S5 NA. Bolts on perfectly. Mounts to all the hangers with ease. It isn't loud and doesn't draw attention to itself. Throttle response feels really good too.
