engine swap question

Maybe i should have put this question in the tech support part but since it is about the 2nd gen i figured i would put it here. If i am un able to find a 2nd gen turbo RX-7, how hard would it be for me to just buy a non-turbo one and drop the turbo engine in there? Does any one know how easy this would be and extra parts i would need to make it work. I know the hood is different on the turbo Rx-7 but im not sure if thats the only thing or if there are other things as well.

Even if you already own a non-turbo FC, it is cheaper to sell it and buy a turbo FC. From what I have read on aaron cake's website, its a long, expensive process. Check out his page here: http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/naturbo.htm Just wait till you find a turbo FC, and dont jump on the first one u find. There is always another one lol.

In 20 or so years of moderating maybe he'll look something like this:

Icemark on the other hand is just numb now. Probably just experiences a slight twitch of annoyance below his left eye.

How long have they been moderating? jeez 9000 plus posts on Icemark I think...... About the swap, If you have all the pieces necessary it should not be impossible.....I am using my motor, tranny rear end and everything that came in my TII and putting it into my GTUs........ It was not too hard to take the motor out once everything was unpluged off the ECU, and the hoses on the firewall.....Install I'm not sure yet, I am waiting for another cherry picker in order to begin the install.

It really is not worth it. Even if you get it to run, alot of the time the engine doesnt last long. Just buy a TII if you want a turbo that badly.
