Engine stumbles
I'm posting this for a friend of mines that has a 88 T2 stock. The engine after start up has a rough idle. The car drives fine until the 3K is reach and then it stumble in the rpm range, then turns off or tremble's really bad. We replaced the TPS,Airflow meter, New spark plug, VAC Valve, boost senor, and crank angle senor. Pollution pump and ACV was removed. Replaced with 91 ACV utilizing one plug. I'd appreciate any help with this problem !

Make a ground coming from the negative battery terminal to the right strut tower. Use at least 10 guage wire. Use the existing strut hold down bolt, but clean it up a bit. That should help the idle and the hesitation. You could add more grounds if you wish. Just look at rotaryresurrection.com and in the tech section there is a writeup about grounding.

I believe we found the problem with the car. My bud removed the fuel filter and there was nothing but dirt and water in the filter. We also check the fuel tank and it was unbelievable to see all the dirt and water in the tank alone. Today, we are going to drop the fuel tank and replace it with another one a friend has.
