engine starts....but then cuts off
Start with the airflow meter. This is typical broken airflow meter behavior on any fuel injected car. It squirts fuel in for startup, which will star the engine, but then it switches over to the airflow meter to keep it running. If the airflow meter is broken/disconnected, the engine will burn off the startup fuel and not be able to continue running because the computer thinks there's no airflow (and therefore no fuel).
