First time rebuilding my enigne and I'm trying to find out what all comes in the engine gasket set? Most the rebuild kits seem to include it but what is in it?

You get the water seals and all internal o-rings other than the oil o-rings. You also get all the external gaskets for the engine.

 

And they want $250 just for that!!!

 

got mine for 117.50 delivered from atkins off ebay.

depending on how far you tear it down you'll have extras.

They always have 1 on ebay, but if a bunch of people bid on it, then the price will go up past what they normally charge. I got lucky and I was the only one who bid on the one I got so I paid the same as Jimmy325i. There web site is www.atkinsrotary.com I don't know who was going to charge you $250, but different companies add different things to their kit. Their is no "standard" kit out there.

 

I got the Atkins kit when I bought their engine for my TII. A very complete kit. I believe they get these from mazda.

I'm not sure that they're mazda oem per se, but they are a good quality organic gasket set. I'm very happy with mine. 4K on the motor right now and not a single problem.

 

anyone get those ebay "rotor kits" from atkins?

 

mazdatrix wants ~270 for their gasket set, I think atkins wants more, but it may contain more. I'm lucky that i've got a S4 TII, all the stuff for the S5's is at least 20 to 30 bucks more.
