Eletric fan for VMIC?

Instead of getting a reverse hood scoop could you hook up a eletric fan to a VMIC? and it work just as well.

No, the air needs somewhere to go once it enters the engine bay. If it doesnt, it gets all "blocked up" and there is no way for the air already there to leave therefore it blocks any incoming air from entering.

No, the scoop is just putting more air into the engine bay. I really need a reverse vented hood to create low pressure over the IC to suck all the hot air out.

no e-fan will have the power to push air agenst the wind out the scoop unless the car is not moving.

get the 5on5 reverse vent hood...figure the cost of a good electric fan is 1/3 the cost of the hood anyways..and the hood will actually work unlike the fan

or you can try not having a vented hood and put a thermocouple (temp sensor) in you intercooler pipe and see for yourself. I plan making vents in my hood but as of now ive drove it a couple times and with my large intercooler it seems pretty good although not optimal. I think im gonna put a tc in and document my temps cause im tired of people saying how bad it is. THe TII intercooler has a plate behind it, wheres the airflow there? But for best flow most certainly you need a reverse hood scoop and duct work to your vmic.
