EGT gauge install Q's

I should be picking one up in a few weeks, just have a few Q's.
It comes with a compression fitting.
Now where is the best place so install on a tii?
Also how would I go bout installing it?
And does anyone know wat electricals wires it comes with?

it should have a probe, a bung and a gauge.........weld bung to exhaust, put probe in bung, run wires to gauge and mount the gauge where you like or can fit it.

But where on the exhaust is ideal? On downpipe?

yep usually within a foot or so of the turbo.

personally i would say between the turbo and the o2 gauge

the further away from the turbo - you stand a chance of the gas's cooling and not getting a TRUE reading

yep - and the 02 sensor is about a foot or less from the turbo

The most accurate spot will be between the mani and the turbo. If you mount it there there’s always a chance it may break off and go thru the turbo
