Some searcher you are. The online fsm's are available for free. The url is in the FAQ thread. The Fuel Section and the wiring schematics are there.

The Control Unit section of the FSM shows CLEARLY the spot for the 02 sensor and shows the pinouts for the ECU plugs.

It's a dis-service to hold someones hand and show them jpgs out of the FSM of then information they can get for themselves. If they look for themselves they'll find what they're looking for and MORE. It's the old saw about giving a hungry man a fish to eat or showing him how to fish for his own food.

If you go to this thread https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ht=ecu+pinouts HUGUES hit the nail on the head with his response.

There's a SEARCH function at the top of each page of this fourm that will give you hits for most topics related to RX-7

yes, i agree with you, the fsm clearly shows the wiring. it also says that i should be looking for a grey wire. as i said before, none of the harnesses have a grey wire. the only thing i am asking for is the color of one wire, from someone who already been through this before. i am not asking anyone to do a search for me, or tear apart their car to find it. the post by hugues is good info, but i just moved and i only have basic tools here with me and no multimeter here to use.

and while im at it, this is an extremely informal forum. if the lack of capital letters and punctuation bother you, you are extremely **** and need to relax.

For the O2 sensor wire, all you need is the pin going into the ECU. I believe it was a black wire on my 88 SE. There is also a color code somewhere near the wiring diagrams. I *think* gy would be green with yellow stripes, but I'm not 100% on that. There's a key.

The wire is BLACK at the ECU pin 2D. The cable is or WAS grey at one time. It is a shielded cable meaning it has a inner conductor (black cable). The GREY cable ends about six to seven inches from pin 2D. There the shield is spliced to a ground wire and the center conductor goes to pin 2D.

Pin 2D is shown in the FSM in the CONTROL UNIT section and in the wiring diagrams PLUS it is shown in the thread I attached to one of my responses.

The plug is the MIDDLE plug on the ECU. The pins are counted from right to left in a up/down manner. That means pin 2D is on the bottom row, second pin from the right as you look at the plug from the wire side of the connector.

Like I said, there's pictures in the FSM, Contro Unit page and the wiring schematics plus you can do a search on the forum and come up with a dozen threads the identify the o2 pin on the ECU plug.

if you know what you are doing
2D is enough to tell you where the wire is

they are number... next time, you can count it from one end to tthe other, its actually pretty easy and better than depending on color

the actual diagram says "grey", but the pic of the harness says "gy". all the other wires on the pic that are 2 colors have a slash between them, like b/y, b/w, ect...
