ECU - which tuner gives best performance

I am thinking to buy some modified ECU to my S5 TII . There are a lot of tuners like Re-Amemiyja, Kansai, Redom and others. They usually says the same: eliminate 180km top speed limiter, Shift rev limiter timing, eliminate boost limiter, modification of fuel correction map and Ignition map, change lattice of the map (RPM, injection time) etc. Is it worthful to buy? Is it really perceptible comparing with normal ECU? Which to choose?
Any suggestions about this topic.

I don't understand how you could buy an ECU without knowing what its been tuned for exactly. Like what turbo, boost levels, fuel, etc. I know someone that runs a REDOM though and the car runs pretty well. Running off the wastegate with just an air filter and 3" exhaust it ran 14.00 @ 100 with everything else bone stock and a Jspec engine.

+1 on the standalone. It may be a little more expensive, but you can tune it for whatever you want, and you won't have to deal with paying the 'JDM tax' and waiting months for it to get here.

Install an Apexi Power FC, plug and play, eliminates the AFM and is fully tunable.

Best investment I ever made for $150. Many years ago a fellow went to a stand alone system, and as I didn't want to be bothered with that hassle, I puirchased his GForce ecu for our S TII we purchased new. It is tuned to max 12lbs, but I run 11.5 with the stock OE exhaust(minus the precat) and stock intake. Performance is great and not one problem in the last 7 years. The secondary injectors come on sooner and the injector pulse is naturally increased for the added fuel. All I did was to add a FD pump.

Thanks for your suggestions. By the way standalone means that I can change parameters on my own?
I know that "Apexi Power FC" could be best sollution but it is too expensive. New cost above 1000$. That`s why I am interested in something between 200-300$. Usually sellers claim the same (like in my first post) and it is possible to see some added/changed integrated circuit:

What do you think guys about above ECU`s?

All of those ECUs are a waste of time.. Sorry to say. If the PFC is out of your price range (I wouldnt **** on one if it was on fire anyways), try to find a standalone (used) like an E6K.
