s4 n/a engine into s5 n/a body or s4 n/a engine into s4 n/a body

this might be an easy one but....i was just wondering if i were to swap everything out of a s4 into a s5 body will there be any problems? and how bout s4 to s4 but differant years? i would think that would be an easy swap and no problems there but you never know. thanks.

Changing series is harder but staying in same series is plug and play. S4 and S5's haf differ counter waights in fly wheel and different ECU pin-plugs.

oh but i would keep the s4 motor and everything just be putting it into the body of a s5. but i think ill stick with the s4 anyway. prob much easier. so differant years is just fine...right?

Differ years of the same generation is just fine. If you swap the range of 87.5 and > into a 87.5 < then you will need to swap engin harness as well. S5 is all same but its advised to stay in same series unless you are willing to do the extra work required

all i can really find at this point is a 88 n/a and 86 n/a. seems like no one is selling a 87...haha. oh well. guess i just gotta wait and keep my eyes open. that straight body is out there somewhere....whatever the year. only thing i was worried about really with the differant years was the engine harness fitting the 87 ecu because i think i would have to change that atleast because of the differant injectors in the differant years....correct?
